The game

Limb from Limb does not require an account. The campaign, sandbox, and everything else play fully offline, and the game contains no advertising and no third-party analytics. Campaign progress, settings, and purchases made with in-game stars are stored only on your device.

Removing the app also removes its locally stored data, subject to any operating-system backup or restore features you have enabled. The game does not provide the developer with a copy of that data.

Optional accounts and leaderboards

Signing in with Apple or Google inside the game is optional and exists for one feature: the online endless leaderboards. When you sign in, we store the authentication record your provider shares (including the email address it carries), the leaderboard display name you choose, and your leaderboard scores with their run details and timestamps. This data is held in Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Authentication), is used only to operate sign-in and the leaderboards, and is never sold, rented, or shared for advertising.

You can delete the account and everything attached to it — or just your leaderboard entries — at any time by following the steps on the account deletion page.

The website

If you submit the launch signup form, we collect the email address you enter, the submission time, your browser's user-agent string and time zone, and the link that brought you to the site. We do not ask for your name.

That information is stored in Google Cloud Firestore and used for one purpose: to tell you when the game is released on Android and iOS. It is never sold, rented, or shared for advertising or marketing.

To have a signup deleted, ask using the developer contact shown on the game's Google Play or App Store listing, or reply to the release email if you have already received it. No reason is required.

An earlier version of this site collected addresses for an Android beta. That form has been retired. Those addresses are held on the same terms as above and are deleted on the same request.

Cookies and tracking

None. The site stores one timestamp in your browser's local storage to stop the form being submitted repeatedly, and nothing else. There is no analytics, no tracking pixel, and no third-party advertising on this page.

Children's privacy

The game does not knowingly collect personal information from children or anyone else. The separate launch signup form is intended for adults who can consent to receiving an email.
